| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Rouge brown pour. Something sweet in the scent but also something of crayola. Taste is more fruity than most; it is sweet and thin. Almost like a dark wine cooler. JesseM (669), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 27, 2009 Pint from a fresh keg at the Golden Kiwi in downtown Galt. Taps a very nice, deep dark ruby-brown with a large beige head. The aroma is enticing, very sweet malt presence with the kind of esters you’d expect from a Trappist brew, banana, clove, prunes, etc. Flavour is just awesome. A complex yet refreshing brew! Comes in waves, starts out with a huge banana whack and some yeastiness, gets quite sweet and malty into the finish with nice dark fruit elements. And it goes down way too easy. I had to actually stop myself from drinking the whole pint in under a minute. So damn drinkable! Yet with Trappist characteristics, there’s just so much in this product that I love in certain beers. I plan on drinking a lot more of this in the future. DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
