Bottle at Monk’s. Yellow hazy with a huge white head. Wheaty herby nose with some sourness, but also some sweetness. Hoppiness. Slightly acidic bitterness in the mouth and some orange tones. Drinks well, but quite a basic finish. OK.

Bottle left at house by neighbour, cheers Barry, consumed 24-11-09 Pours hazy yellowy colour. Aroma is a little citric as is the flavour although there is also a sweetness there as well. Its fine but doesn’t excite. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0

N.B. I reviewed this under the impression that is was primarily a sweet lambic. Serving date: 2009-03-24. Served in tulip. Yellow straw color, rather cloudy (from the yeast). 1 cm ivory-colored dense head that sticks around for a while before settling and leaving small islands of lacings on top of the liquid. The smell has some vinegar notes to it, hay, gentle funkiness (but more than expected). Plenty of tart green apples, wheat, dry earth, mild spices. The flavor is very sweet. Sugar coated apples, general sweet fruity flavors, lemon and orange peel, gooseberries. Cane sugar. Hints of funky stable. Plenty of wheat. Faint taste of vinegar. A suppressed tartness tries to surface but the sweetness constantly pulls the longest straw. Notes of coriander and wheat residuals is noticeable in the otherwise rather anonymous and short finish. Moderate body, slightly tingling carbonation, quite lively. The sweetness makes the beer slightly sticky and not as dry as I would have liked it to be. This is way too sweet and one-sided. The sweetness has almost an artificial feel to it. All in all, it’s not very interesting. It’s not a bad beer, but it doesn’t stand a chance against some of the other excellent lambics out there. Apparently, this beer is an attempt at combining the unblended with the belgian witbier. In my opinion, it is not a very successful attempt. Serving type: bottle (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

Bottle. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing white head. Hazy milky yellow body. Coriander lemon cinamon aroma aroma. Acidic lemon orange coriander nut flavor with a high carbonation and a long aftertaste.

An interesting mix of lambic and wheat beer. Very fruity, but not oversweet. A strong citrus taste, and a little sour, but light and spicy. At first it did not seem like beer really. More like lemonade, or a beer and lemonade mix. Very light, slightly more gold than the usual white beer, cloudy. Refreshing and fun.

bottle from the ’streekproductenwinkel’ in Halle, also drunk in Halle. White/yellow colour and almost no head disapearing fastly. Sour smell and refreshing sour/sweet simplistic lambic-taste. Very nice to drink on a warm summer day.

Bottle, 25 cl with crown-cap. A blonde, golden hazy beer with little white head, not lacing at all. The smell is and sour (from theLambic) and nicely fruity. The taste has also nicely sour (typical for Lambic), combined fantastically with the grainy, light hoppy taste of Witbier, but then without the bitter finish. After a while the sweetness also comes a bit on the foreground. Beautiful combination of Lambic and Witbier, but also not more than that: the beer doesn’t make me completely wild.

Draught. Served in a ceramic jar at La Becasse, Brussels. Slight hazy yellow with a nice egg white head. Fruity aroma with notes of lemons, bread, coriander and som red currants. Flavours of citrus, wheat, coriander and yeast. Refreshing beer.
