motelpogo (4360), Plzen, Czech Republic Mar 27, 2008 on tap. pretty much what one would expect of a beer from usti nad labem - apparently rough and a bit ugly but with some warming quality underneath it all. faint molasses and raw sugar, touch of plum, light tinny bitterness

Very beautiful indeed, quite strong firm, off-white head with brownish shade and the body of dark amber to brown reddish coulur, aroma of pinetree, resin, and slight Bohemian hoppy accent, taste is very bitter with caramel note, hops are very strong so that the aftertaste is dry, but the bitterness is not lager-like but Bohemian pilsener like, which tastes good, aftertaste is dry. Medium to full bodied. chmurarz (236), Raciborz, Slask, Poland Apr 17, 2007 500ml bottle, very beautiful indeed, quite strong firm off-white head with brownish shade and the body of dark amber to brown reddish coulur, aroma is pinetree resin and old socks, taste is very bitter with caramel note, hops are very strong so that the aftertaste is dry, but the bitterness is not lager-like bitterness but bitter ale-like bitterness, which tastes good, If the aftertaste was not so dry i would say it is a bitter. medium to full bodied, one of typical czech brews - very bitter, however aroma is kind of stinky and repulsive. I wish I had drunk it on a hotter day taunusmies (247), Finland Dec 18, 2006 Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma has fruits and raisins.
