martinboer (1308), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jul 14, 2008 Bottle in London. Amber orange with healthy head. Very spicy nose. Buttery texture. Grassy taste with some spices. A good enough bitter. Although Cask is better.
Gary__ (72), London, Greater London, England Aug 9, 2008 A really cool beer. Zesty or some shit. Classic bottle label with a bloated landlord. I go running in my spare time -so luckyly my guts not resembleing him. Truly this beer’s use of 3 hops is lovely ... cool hoppiness is vibrant and lively with lots of refreshment. Nice caramelly malt backdrops. I feel like i’m underrating this.An unassuming ,flavoursome beer. DougShoemaker (2560), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 Aroma is an inviting malt, with a leafy wet hops, dark amber, pours a small off-white head. Flavour is a woody malt, mild fruit, the hops figure in with a resiny bite. Light bodied, perfectly balanced, extremely well made, superb mouthfeel, fresh as you please. Fabulous! Thanks so much Roger Pettit. Beth101 (100), West Yorkshire, England Aug 7, 2008 Caramel in colour with a rapidly disappearing head. Had a smeel of hops and a malty taste. Smooth. alari (30), London, England Jul 27, 2008 I like this very much on cask, but simply cannot drink the bottled version. Strange metallic after-taste, too carbonated for my liking and somewhat too bitter finish.
Again, I love the cask, but just cannot stomach this version.
