Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Also bottle conditioned.
Our third “Ghost story” offering. The Hanged Monk is a traditional Mild Ale. The deep colour and full body give it an appealing appearance in your pint glass, while the gentle hopping brewing process results in a sweet, mild flavour and a good malty nose.

Cask at paisley beer fest. Alround rating: Malty, roasty rather than chocolate, grassy bittering hop, quite thin also. Again the brewer has made a decent mild then over hopped it.

Half pint gravity feed at the Luton Beer Festival, brown with a thun bubbly head. An earthy malt aroma with notes of coffee. The palate is a little thin, but quite sweet. More mellow in the finish.

Cask, Leicester Fest 06. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aromas are earthy, light roast malts with metal and some pepper. Flavours are caramel with light roast coffee. Some metal with floral hops. Some dark chocolate bitterness with a dry finish. Decent but seemed slightly stale.
