Cask@Catford Beer Festival. Quite a nice little stout. very drinkable. Quite a rich mocha roastyness, yet quite soft. NIce dungy, earthy qualities, the finish is quite long, and with some nice roasty bitterness.

A full, dark stout. Lovely creamy coffee aroma. Smoky malt and bitter chocolate on the palate. Some biscuity notes. Dry, with plenty of bite. An excellent stout. Cask (gravity), Catford beer Festival, June 2005.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel Northampton. A black stout with nice off white lacing. The aroma is a little roasty with some coffee and some rich fruit. The taste also features coffee and although the mouthfeel seems a little greasy it’s still a really nice drink.
