Some roast aroma. Black smooth on the palate and slightly fruity with a bitter coffee roast finish.

Jun 29, 2008 500ml bottle from Williams Deli, Nailsworth. Almost black in colour with a big, frothy tan head. Aroma of burnt coffee and dark chocolate, Flavour was bitter with plenty of roastiness, a slightly oily mouth feel and a long dry finish. Very good.

Mar 1, 2008 Bottle. Black beer with a malty and lightly roasted aroma. The flavour is smooth and lightly roasted with a bitter finish. Overall a very nice smooth stout.

Aug 28, 2007 Bottle from Beers of Europe, consumed outside my tent at Towersey Festival Poured dark brown some bitter coffee notes detected on the aroma, which was quite roasted. Lovely tasting beer quite simple but done well, nice toasty taste with coffee once again showing, bit fruity and drying finish, very nice beer.

Dec 30, 2006 Bottled. Black with a large beige foam. Aromas are rich and malty with smoky and oaty notes. Flavours are smooth roast coffee with some dark fruit. Rich, tasty and moreish. Very easy to drink. So drinkable to even be a touch fleeting.
