On tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy copper – orange – brown with thin tan head. The aroma is Belgian candi sugar, coriander like spices and faint fusel notes. The taste comes across with fruity esters that slowly give way to Belgian candi sugar and assorted spices like coriander. Pretty full flavor that isn’t too bright and unforgiving. Smooth and tasty with hints of alcohol sums up the experience with the alcohol noticeable but not at all distracting.

Hazy but dull brownish-amber. Malt-accented nose is silghtly bubblegummy; sweet start has some raisiny richness. This, however, fades to an astringency unbecoming of a dubbel. The finish ends up a bit dry, with just some residual fruit. Not entirely on the mark.

Hazy brownish-red. Not much head. Tulip glass. Very sweet aroma like brown sugar, cake, with some spice and an astringent finish to the aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Very sweet brew with raisins, prunes, and some cosmetic-like flavors ?wax? Then finishes off-dry and isn’t so bad.

Pours dark copper with thin off white head. Sweet sugary aroma with some dark fruits. Similar flavors with a slightly dry metallic finish. Meduim body with lively carbonation.

Draft… Cloudy orange ale (almost identical to their Double IPA) with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Sweet, caramel aroma. Surprisingly well-balanced flavor. Medium-bodied and watery with modest carbonation. Finishes moderately sweet, mildly bitter and thin.

On tap at brewpub, seasonal beer. Crimson/brown with little head. Malty sugar aromas are present to both smell and taste as well as vanilla, dried fruits, pears and raisins. Finishes with a quiet sugary warmth.
