Thylacine (179), Tasmania, Australia Apr 14, 2008 Bottle - Hazy yellowwith very thin, white short lived head. Low carbonation. Thin bodied. Sweet and citrusy (lemony) and rather simple While I don’t usually match beers with food, I reckon this would go well with fish.
TheJollyOne (46), Kofu, Japan Oct 19, 2008 Poured a hazy yellow with small white head that didnt stick around too long. Citrus and yeast on the nose, some honey as well. Tasted like grapefruit with some other citrus fruits adding their flavours as well, some spice and vinalla. Lively on the palate, refreshing. A standard witbier, nothing to write home about. MBison (445), Southern Highlands, Australia Sep 9, 2008 Bottle (330ml) 5%. Poured hazy pale straw with a large, ice-cream cone-like head which lasted superbly. Aroma was of bready malts with orange zest, coriander, vanilla and some light lemon-soap notes. Flavor was of sour yeasty malts with creamy vanilla, orange & lemon citrus, coriander and some cinnamon. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, a dry/creamy mouthfeel, somewhat watery texture and a good finish. Would be good for a summer thirst quencher. Orange-lemon and coriander aroma - lightly musty. Hazy pale yellow color with minimal head. Slightly sweet orange-lemon flavor up front but finishes up with a dry coriander flavor. Pretty good. Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia Jun 28, 2008 Sweet malt hop aroma with flowers. Murky yellow colour with poor head and lacing. Malt sweet flavour with spices. Fizzy palate.
