Ughsmash (3981), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Apr 15, 2009 On tap at Titletown. Poured paler-golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma was lightly sweet with honey and pale malts topped by grassy and light citrusy hops.. a touch sticky, but it struck a good chord. The flavor had a pale malty base with pine, floral, and lemony bitterness around.. crisp and bitter on the finish. Just OK balance across the palate and the bitterness became ugly as the drink progressed.. definitely some decent components in there, though. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Feb 28, 2009 The second beer I enjoyed upon my arrival in Green Bay. Bright clear golden colour with a big white head. Taste is malty, noticeable grassy with soft herbal notes on the finish. Aroma is very fine- distinct in lemon zest and grainy notes but pleasent nonetheless. A mighty fine pilsener. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Feb 14, 2009 Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is grassy, bready malts, and citrus hops. Taste is doughy malt, yeast, grassy and peppery hops. Good. Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Feb 13, 2009 On tap at Titletown. Pours a clear golden color with medium white head. Aroma is of sweet malt, grass, doughy bread and bitter hops. Taste doughy malt, sweet bread, yeast, bitter hops and some grassiness. Moderate carbonation and bitter finish make this a decent pilsner. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Feb 9, 2009 On draught at the Titletown brewpub in downtown Green Bay, WI. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a thick white head that has some nice retention and leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of light fruity pear/citrus, golden grain malt, some Saaz medium pine hops and a hint of seasonal spice. Taste is light to medium bodied, slightly carbonated with flavors of golden grain malt, grassy hops, a touch of pear and some dry spice. Finish is semi-dry with a little grassy hop bite that quickly turns into a crisp finish.
