Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 28, 2009 On tap at Titletown. Poured deep brown with a creamy, thick cap of beige head. The aroma was on the sweet and lightly-toasted side with chocolate and coffee notes leading.. soft and well-balanced. The flavor found smooth chocolate, coffee, and toasted black malts at the core with some lactic sourness and more coffee around.. finished sweet with more of the same. Medium-bodied and a tad slick on the palate.. solid lingering bitterness on the finish.. OK flow. Tasty. SHANER4 (370), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Mar 15, 2009 tap - Poured black with creamy tam head. on nitro so it looks like guinness.
Aroma - roasted chocolate malt and coffee.
Flavor - roasted dark malt, chocolate syrup and molasses.
Palate - medium mouthfeel with little carbonation. Finish is slightly bitter and has roasted nut aftertaste.
Overall - pretty damn good stout. Tastes alot like guinness with more chocolate taste. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Mar 10, 2009 Had this one on draught as part of WinTour 3 at the brewpub in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Opaque dark brown pour with a light brown head, soy sauce and coffee in the nose, mild and milky, a very sessionable stout. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Nov 26, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra and co. at the brewery. Better than Guinness, but it’s not saying much. Very thin. Drinkable, smooth and creamy, but not a whole lot going on here. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 One of the first beers I tried at Titletown, it pours a dark black colour with a large tan head. Body is thick, creamy, not a whole lot of carbonation but a nice touch of roasted malts and extra toffee flavors. Finishes light and very smooth. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Apr 26, 2008 On nitro charge. Pours a nice dark brown color with a creamy tan head and lots of lacing. Aroma is toasted malts and light chocolate. Taste is about the same. It’s nothing to write home about. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Nov 23, 2007 On nitro charge at the brewpub/restaurant in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a creamy light tan head that has excellent retention and lacing. The nitro charge does nice to this beverage. Aroma of dark toasted black malt, some molasses, milk chocolate and a touch of mocha. Taste is medium to full bodied, smooth, creamy with a distinct milk chocolate flavor with toasted oatmeal malt. Finish is semi-sweet with a very mild bitterness that disappears quickly. Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jul 21, 2005 Dark brown color. Nice frothy/creamy tan head. Smells of chocolate and coffee. Very sweet and chocolatey malt. Notes of coffee and roast linger throughtout this brew. A bit thin and watery in the finish but an ok beer.
