esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Aug 21, 2009 On tap at Titletown Brewing Company. Unfiltered yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, clove and fruit. Taste of banana, lemon, wheat, fruit and bubblegum. An average hefeweizen. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 A well balanced, creamy weizen. Pours a cloudy hazey yellow colour with a full white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity- pineappe, mangoe and apricot. Mouthfeel is smooth and bubbly. Taste is pleasent, finishes semi-sweet. Ofortuna (322), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA Sep 1, 2007 Ontap at the brewery. Not impressed at all with any of the beers at this brewery. Typical poor to barely average macro brewpub offerings. Poor non-existent head and watery appearance. Hardly any decernable aroma having to really REALLY grasp at pulling anything out. Light presence of some esters with notes of banana and clove. Flavour had a little wheat malt and non-existent hop presence. Very watered down and minimal offering for the masses. Again, the house character is very prevalent as well with all their beers having an odd metallic taste and certain terroir that I find very quite displeasing. Not a fan at all. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Aug 24, 2007 cloudy yellow body with white head. Well blended clove and banana taste. Nose was a bit on the light side. Ughsmash (3978), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2007 On tap at Titletown. Poured a clear paler golden with a short white head.. totally un-cloudy. Aroma was of soft and dusty banana, some wheaty notes, and spicy cloves.. rather well put-together. Flavor was a pleasant blend of lightly-toasted banana, white pepper, and cloves with a little banana sweetnesss.. got a bit muddled at the back-end.. finished spicy and tangy. Light-bodied with a decent flow on the palate.. quite spicy there at the end. Skyview (3954), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 2, 2007 On tap at the Titletown brewpub, this brew pours a hazy pale yellow brew with a thick white head. Slowly dissolving, it leaves behind a nice lacing and ring top. Aroma of distinct yeast and malted wheat, with a hint of cloves and banana esters. Taste is highly carbonated, with characteristic yeast and wheat finish. Slight yeasty aftertaste with no bitterness. Juelze (889), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 24, 2007 On tap at Titletown Appearance is incredibly cloudy, way more then the average hefeweizen. Aroma is the norm for a wheat, banana, clove, light bubblegum Taste is the same. Very effervescent. Taste is great but the cloudiness issue should be addressed. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jun 16, 2007 Draft at brewpup. Clearly has the banana thing going; actually, too much banana to the point where you’d never run across a wheat in Germany with banana esters this strong. Hazy light yellow with a thin white head. A little spritzy in the mouthfeel. Successfully captures the essence of a German weissbier, but clearly has an American brewer’s bent.
