Fairly standard (in a german standard) aroma. Mild bananas and cloves. Strong ester flavors distract, but lots of malt sweetness. Cloves, sweet grapenuts and bananas flavors. A chewy and sweet brew. They don’t skimp on the malt, but fro a wheat perhaps a bit to thick. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Draft at brewpup. Clearly has the banana thing going; actually, too much banana to the point where you’d never run across a wheat in Germany with banana esters this strong. Hazy light yellow with a thin white head. A little spritzy in the mouthfeel. Successfully captures the essence of a German weissbier, but clearly has an American brewer’s bent. Jabswitch (215), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2006 I was impressed with this brew. Tasted it at a festival on Broadway in Green Bay. Had to have a couple of them. Reminded me of Leinies Sunset Wheat. Classic hefe in appearance. To me, it wasn’t the classic yeasty Hefe but more of a refreshing, lemony taste. I thought it was a very good offering from a local brew pub. I am going back for some more. esjaygee (1581), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA

Aroma of banana, wheat, clove and fruit. Taste of banana, lemon, wheat, fruit and bubblegum. An average hefeweizen. baseballguy (246), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 2, 2002 Certainly a refreshing wheat beer, just not a truly distinctive one. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2002 Up until this, my 4th Titletown sample, I wasn’t prepared to be too kind to Baseballguy about his choice of restaurants when I visited him yesterday; but this was a pretty credible hefe, very very lemony and fairly full-bodied, with a strong wheaty maltiness and some good hoppiness coming through on the end. I started to like the pub at this point (an awesome burger and good fries certainly helped). StewardofGondor (1934), Washington Heights - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 9, 2005 Hazy pale yellow with no head. Aroma is fried bananas, yeast, pepper, cloves and coriander. True to style. Initial impression is thin. Flavor is banana laden. Slightly souring. Reminiscent of a watered down lemonade. Gets stronger in the wheat department near the end and sourer as well. Banana bread finish. Skyview (4095), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2007 On tap at the Titletown brewpub, this brew pours a hazy pale yellow brew with a thick white head. Slowly dissolving, it leaves behind a nice lacing and ring top. Aroma of distinct yeast and malted wheat, with a hint of cloves and banana esters. Taste is highly carbonated, with characteristic yeast and wheat finish. Slight yeasty aftertaste with no bitterness.
