mnurda (354), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Jul 16, 2008 Part of a sampler tray during a visit to Green Bay. Unfrotunately, this was a couple of months ago, and my memory is faint. Nice place to visit, All the samples were tatsty. General_Gao (2575), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 12, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Toffee and subdued dark fruits came out in the nose. Poured a clear medium orange color with an off white head. Sweet and medium bodied with light caramel and brown sugary malt flavors. phishpond417 (1459), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 Usually after a few IPAs i might switch to a blood. Pours a dark copper colour with a full light brown head. Nice nutty taste from start to finish, smooth, not very rich. Another one of my favorite beers. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 18, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 6/24/07: Pours a transparent dark copper amber with a wispy-lacing thin white head. Lightly toasty grainy malty aroma has some mild hop character. Body starts fairly full and lightly sweet with a hint of tartness and mild citrusy bittering hops toward a bittersweet finish. A decently balanced red ale. Ofortuna (315), Grafton, Wisconsin, USA Sep 1, 2007 Ontap at the brewery. Not impressed at all with any of the beers at this brewery. Typical poor to barely average macro brewpub offerings. Poor non-existent head and watery appearance. Lightly colored shade of red makes this slightly stand out from the other offerings. Hardly any decernable aroma having to really REALLY grasp at pulling anything out. Light presence of some caramel malt and a bit or roastiness. Very watered down and minimal offering for the masses. Again, the house character is very prevalent as well with all their beers having an odd metallic taste and certain terroir that I find very quite displeasing. Not a fan at all.
