Commercial Description:
We combined two monastic beer styles, Doppelbock and Belgian Strong Ale, to create this distinctive beer. The result is a rich, intensely malty, dark brown ale with complex flavors of dark fruit and peppery spice and hints of roasted malt and warming alcohol.

This tasty beer pours a dark, shiny copper colour with a little bit of cloudiness. Nice big off white head, aromas of spice and hops, flavors mild of ripe fruit and alcohol. Mid palate is semi-sweet with creamy wheat flavor.

Lucky me! I got the last glass of this beer before the brewpub ran out. On draught at the Titletown brewpub in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a clear dark reddish amber brew with a thick beige head that has some excellent lacing and retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, some dark pitted fruits, toffee and a touch of cloves. Taste is medium to full bodied, light carbonation with flavors of sweetened caramel malt, toffee, some dark pitted fruits and some herbal spice. Finish is semi-sweet with a toasted dark malt aftertaste that is most excellent. The alcohol presence is well-hidden.

Pours a dark ruby color with big ol? light brown head. Aroma is of belgian spice, caramel, light toffee, lightly burnt grain notes, and notes of dark fruit. Taste is of dark fruit, rich toffee and caramel flavors, and buttered toast. Moderate carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden.
