A Golden yellow color with a thick head. Nice malty aroma and flavor the beer was a crisp easy to drink beer. The beer finishes cirsp and has very little after taste. This was a simple lager. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours hazy golden with a big, but quickly fading white head. Aroma of sweet malts, slight metallic, and floral hops. The flavor is slightly sweet upfront, grain, floral, and a slight grassy bitter finish. DrnkMcDermott (1852), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 18, 2007 12 oz. loose bottle from at Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove, IL. The date notches say Sept 27, 06!? I hope their notcher is just off, I’d hate to think Sam’s isn’t diligent about old stock. Pours slightly hazy, dark yellow, as close to amber as it is to pilsener. Malty smell, and some papery oxidation, so it may be an old bottle, but not completely ruined. Decently creamy malt taste, though it was picking up the medicinal taste of old beer already. Hop notes threaded out. I haven’t cared much for Tommyknockers yet, but they seem to always be this close to real improvement. puboflyons (607), New Hampshire, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 10, 2007 Bottle with a use by Jan ’07 date. Label says enjoy within four months of expiration date. So I sampled this six months after it’s expiration date and two months after its "drop dead" date. Pours a cloudy straw color with little head/lace, which was not very impressive. Thin aroma. Light mouth feel. Not terribly bad but not anything extraordinary. A bit of an aftertaste. My so-so experience with this may have been due entirely to drinking it after its expiration date. Maybe a fresher one would be better. Not something I’d consciously seek out again. pintocb (510), Darsville, Georgia, USA
