Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800's with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Bottle (12oz). Pale gold, small fizzy white head. Soft grainy aroma, sweet, some mild grassy hops. Taste is grassy, harsh - more like weeds than grass. Watery, fizzy, harsh aftertaste - I’m SO glad this is a "premium" lager, God knows what it would taste like otherwise. Would likely rate about a 4.2 from Cheapdark.

Very weak citrus and hop aroma, barely detectable. Cloudy amber, inordinately thick head, nice lacing. Half the bottle ended up in the head. Weak lemon grass taste. Generic bitter finish, maybe lemon peel. Not much in the way of hops. I’d suggest a cautious pour, but I’m inclined to believe mine was just too old. I’d love to try a fresher bottle or draft. I really must pay closer attention to freshness dating.

Bottle. Pours light gold. hint of cereal and corn on the nose. Quite lively carbonation. Not getting much for flavor... kinda tastes like "beer". A little sweet malt/corn/yeast flavor and that’s it. Nonexistent finish.

12 oz bottle-July 06-Clear yellow color w/a HUGE white foamy/rocky head. Head on this thing looked like a glacier; unfortunatly, it tasted like glacer water. Just not a whole lot here, kind of bland, some corn, grain, grass. Had a somewhat metalic taste to it. Short, dry finish.

Not that great of a brew. Bland and generic, this beer doesn’t manage to pull off a unique twist, or some form of enjoyable attribute. Cloudy, pale beer greets you when poured. Aroma is barely existant, and as for taste - well, there’s not much. Far beneath the other tommyknockers.

33 cl bottle, Fargo. Cloudy pale yellow color, thin head. Grass and cereal aroma. Slight sour taste, smooth finish, could have more flavor.

Pours a golden haze. The nose is lightly hoppy, sweet honey, and a touch of malt. The taste is a sweet malt, with a light bit of hops and corn.
