Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800's with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden color with a large rocky white head. Scent is fresh orange, very lightly hopped, acidic, and a light breadiness. Taste is Somewhat similar to a Hefe, orange and lightly spiced. A enjoyable lager. I would buy this as a lawnmower beer any day. Not the best thing ever made but does the job. Refreshing, lightly citrus, and nicely crisp. Better than I thought It would be. Cheers!

A 12 oz bottle with a notching system to indicate week, month and year it was made on. The beer poured a dark yellow with a one finger head. The smell was bit grassy with a malt under tone. The taste is a little sour with a weak hop bite. The carbonation and lacing good.

Pours a hazy golden with a thick white head. Aroma is of pale malts and maybe a little german hops... or similar hops. Maybe a hint of caramel malt. Taste is of pale malt, with high carbonation and a little watery mouthfeel. Also a citrusy orange-like flavor is present. Not as bad as it is rated at all. A decent beer, very easy to drink, but definitely nothing special.

12 oz bottle via Arctic Liquors Beer of The month club. Pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Nose is malty, corny, grassy. Taste begins a bit tart, then some grassy hops and graininess. Chalky tart finish. A little sourness as well. Possibly the beginning stages of an infection? Moderate to high carbonation. medium body.

Pale straw color with a small, white, fizzy head. Aroma malty with some butterscotch (diacetyl?); bread and caramel also. Flavor malty and bready; very nice mild hop finish. Medium carbonation; medium-thin; crisp. Aside from what I imagine was improper storage resulting in some diacetyl, this is a nice lager.

12 oz. bottle. amber color with a slight haze and a thin white head. Aroma is sweet bread and malt with some fruity sweetness. Medium bodied with a vibrant carbonation. Flavor starts out malty, sweet and yeasty and rolls into a light bit of floral hops. Crisp piney finish that rounds it out well. Can’t believe this is so low on the percentile. It’s really not a bad lager.

Pours a five finger white head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Piney nose. Starts sour and yeasty, never tasted a lager like this, hints of sweeter lemonade but finish is piney. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from Chalet Party Goshen, In.
