Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800's with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

12 oz bottle. Hazy yellow with a slightly rocky white head. Sweet nose, flowery sweet. Nice lace. Flavor is way too weak - hay, floral hop, sweet honeylike notes. Boring, but not foul. Eh.

Infected garbage that needed to be dumped down the drain. Tasted like the time I went down to the old DeGroen’s brew pub (RIP) and they were serving severly infected beer. The dunkel I ordered tasted like a weizen that had an overactive yeast infection.

The standard yellow pour with a short lived white head and a little lacing. Malt flavor with a metallic aftertaste. I was not impressed and wouldn’t buy it again.

Poured a murky, yellowish gold with little white head. Spciy, slightly malty aroma with a twinge of hops. Flavor is spicy, wheaty and a little off. Funny flavor finish, funny mouth feel. Not very appetizing.

THis a lager???? Really?? It almost tastes like real beer. Nice flavors, no aftertast, smooth and crisp. Gives me hope for lagers everywhere

Mid golden, clear and rather dead, with a moderate white head that lasts and laces. Lemony, nutty, doughy aroma with a hint of fresh hops. Mid-bodied & smooth. Nutty flavor with a touch of sourness at the finish. For a premium lager, few fare better than this. I’m surprised it ranks so low in Style Percentile...

Gold, nice head. Mildy fruity, bready aroma. Full bodied, toasty flavor, with hints of blueberry. Considering my previous experiences with Tommyknocker, this is a great success.

My tasting notes are pretty much identical to everyone else’s: somewhat thin and watery, light flavor, very easy to drink. Not as bad as is made out to be, though...after a first serving, you just have to accept it for what it is, a glorified lawnmower beer. I’d happily drink this on a hot day, or simply as a "refreshment" beer.
