Very little nose to speak of, notes of lemongrass and baked bread and not much else. Whatever. Holdwine (909), Beertimore, Maryland, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 21, 2006 A slightly malty version of a macrobrew. Watery, too easy to drink. Not off tasting just not too impressive. A letdown... eaglefan538 (2403), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Didn’t disgust or impress me, just flat out average. The body was a little malty thick for a basic lager, light spices were detectable in the aroma and flavor, while the flavor featured a lightly hopped finish, almost to the levels of a pilsner, yet seemingly hopped with a piney type hop rather than what is typical of a lager or pilsner. Apart from a low abv, this could have fooled me for a winter style lager. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Color is hazy golden yellow with a thin white crown. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor kind of malty and has some lemon-like undertones. Kind of reminds me of a very weak wheat beer. Finish has a very slight bit of hops, but that’s it. Over all this beer is pretty weak in all regards and quite thin. Not very crisp and really not that refreshing either. I used to think Tommyknocker beer was above average a few years ago, but now I feel they aren’t that great at all.
12 oz bottle (best before 8/11/2006), $1.10 (out of a mixed 12-pack) from The Party Source. Hangover (772), Atlanta, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 16, 2006 Yellow pour with a lasting thin eggshell head. Aroma is of grass and wheat. Vegatable taste with some bready funk in the middle. Light hop/grass finish. Its ok for a crumby style I guess, but not something I would care to drink again. mattd017 (51), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Pours light yellow with a small head that disappeared immediately. Smells about like any other Lager. Grassy smell. Tastes weak, very watery. Leaves very little aftertaste. No bitterness, no hoppiness, slight malty flavor. Another mediocre beer by Tommyknocker Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 10, 2006 Pours golden with a diminishing head. Light grassy hop aroma, slight funk. Taste is german malts, grassy hops. Suprisingly little oxidation, however a slight sourness throws the beer a little. Light bodied. Finish is plain. tennisjoel (951), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Pours a faint blonde. Grassy aroma with lemon notes. Similar flavor to the american wheat style. It has kind of a funky aftertaste that is a little off however. Not great, yet not terrible. I’ll pass on this one from now on. Last of the Tommyknocker assorted six pack. The only decent beer was the bock. None of the others were drain pours, or memorable brews.
