Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800's with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Pours a clear gold body with a small white head. There may be a touch of chill haze at the beginning. The aroma is a bit of straw malt in the body, a slight tingle of hop bitterness in the back of the flavor. Not bad, but could be better.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color, small white head aroudn the rim. Aroma is refreshing, some hops and a sweet/sugary note as well. Flavor is sweet and malty. Glad I got to try this again, and spend more than 2 seconds on the pint!

Draft, Great Decatur Beerfest. Gold pour. Light malty aroma, a tad grassy. Light malt flavors and crisp. Not much there to get me to buy again, but I am not the target audience for this beer.

Bottle. Pale gold with little head and moderate carbonation. Sweet grassy smell with a little yeasty and winey background. Not much flavor, grassy hops and weak malt. Dry, almost sour finish. Metallic notes. Not too exciting.

on tap-pours a thin white head with yellow body. Aroma is sweet grain. Taste is Grain with good carbonation. And a crisp mouthfeel. This was the first beer from Tommyknocker I tried, and was quite pleased after the mixed reviews I had heard after arriving in Colorado.

Clear yellow color with a thin head. No aroma. There really is no flavor, just a slightly dry and bitter finish to water.

Pretty sad when the pale lager is one of the best beers out of their mix-a-six. Taste is mild and somewhat sweet with a tiny bit of hoppiness.
