Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800's with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Straw in color, maybe just a touch darker than the macro stuff, with a non-existent, white head. Lightly lemony aroma with a touch of malt sweetness. A light body, light flavor of hay, grain, and lemons and a little bit more chaRACTER IN THE FINISH. I won’t completely trash this because it was more than acceptable but this is microbrewed, macro lager.

Clear Yellow. Barely existant aroma of light grainy malts, light fruits, mainly pears and mild noble hops, probably saaz or hallerteau. Well, there certainly isn’t much going on here, nonetheless this is a fairly approachable beer and great for serving to future converters. The light maltiness provides a pleasant light fruit flavor and the noble hops serve to balance this quite well. I didn’t think this stuff was horrible.

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from a trip to Colorado (Keystone). 12oz bottle. Aroma is sweet, with a citurs and honey like quality. Pours a dayglow yellow with a sustained but thin white head. Taste is slightly more substantial than typical rocky mountain water lagers. Flavour starts out somewhat malty and finishes with a light lemon like refreshing finish.

Tommyknocker can do better than this! I was not completely won over by this one.

Strange dull cloudiness for a lager. Is it supposed to be like that? Mild, malt, honey, tea aroma. Sweet lemon, honey malt flavor, mild bitter bite in the finish. Drinkable.

Bland, pasty, with a rapidly fading white head and lots of carbonation, this beer is forgettable... just a half-notch up from the mass-produced BMC beers.

Pale straw beer that hasn’t got much going for it - not much different than PBR and the like...

Pale straw yellow body, no real head but plenty of carbonation. Biscuit and musky apricot in the aroma. Tastes remarkably similar to field corn with a sweet fruity twist. Not so good.
