Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers slipped into the mining camps in the 1800's with the discovery of gold to the West. The majestic Rocky Mountains have inspired the cool refreshing taste of Alpine Glacier Lager. As clean and fresh as the rushing water from icy streams and as brisk as a climb up a frozen glacier, this brew contains the finest ingredients in the Tommyknocker tradition.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a soft white fizzy head. Mellow citrus aroma, orange, peach, apricot and pineapple. Soft and gentle flavor that doesn’t overwhelm or dissapoint the taste buds. Smooth and refreshing.

12 oz bottle into pint glass. Pours light clear golden with big carbonation bubbles that are pretty lively. No lacing. Very small, very fizzy white head that fades as quickly as a poured soda’s. Not much aroma, malt and a hint of floral and pine hops; pretty watery. Gentle pine hops on the nose, not very much of a bitter bite. Malt finish that turns kind of sour after a few seconds. Light bodied, fizzy, and thin on the palate. Overall: nothing special at all, but not offensive in any way; very simple.

Sorry, this is not a premium lager by any stretch. Sourdough aromas, thin, weak body, watered down flavor. Just plain nasty.

12oz, bb Jan 08. Clear golden with a three finger, lasting head. Aroma is dry grass and slight plastic corn. Flavor is dry grass and grain, with some lemon grass on the finish. Light-medium body is as smooth as any pale lager out there, and finishes dry.

12 oz bottle. Pours an unpleasant hazy yellow with ample carbonation and a respectable white head. The aroma is lemon zest, grain, a hint of soap. The flavor is kind of lemony, too, with a dull maltiness afterwards. The finish is dusty and a little bit grainy, which leaves a somewhat bland aftertaste. The mouthfeel is quite spritzy from the lively carbonation, which gives the flavor a little bit of edge. Drinkable.

12 oz. bottle into pint glass. Hmm. Golden color, head quickly dissipates. Nose has a touch of fruit. It’s a pretty typical lager, tastes good, is well-balanced, clean, smooth, etc. Average, but would be a good session beer.

12 oz bottle: Its a typical lager. It’s minimal taste, no aroma, a small carbination bite. Meh.
