My bottles were a month past their best date, but I still got a lot of pils malt aroma and a really nice malt flavor. Great balance and a lot of malt. I don’t particularly like this brewery, but I thought this was one of their better beers.I ARMed (486), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2007 This beer has gotten a undeserved bad knock, probably because it is listed as a lager, but in reality it tastes more like a white ale. This is a tasty beer with a nice aroma, good lacing and a fruity tasty finish. Overall, try and think of this as a white belgium and rate as such. Not a bad beer! jcwattsrugger (5573), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2005 on tap-pours a thin white head with yellow body. Aroma is sweet grain. Taste is Grain with good carbonation. And a crisp mouthfeel. This was the first beer from Tommyknocker I tried, and was quite pleased after the mixed reviews I had heard after arriving in Colorado. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 27, 2008 Appearance: Suspicious explosive head formation going on here. What a fucking mess. And we’re within the best before time line. The drain is on stand-by! Clear, yellow body with, again, a monstrous, foamy white head.
Smell: Pale malts with a mixture of floral and sweetish honey notes.
Taste: Pale maltiness with a honeylike sweetness to it. Floral, lightly spicy hop character with a rather mild bitterness. Sip of cold spring water. Finishes crisp and a bit sweetish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-high carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s OK. A rather acceptable lager all except the mess and subsequent clean-up. Would make for refreshing summertime drinking or a good candidate for a lawnmower beer, in that I will drink it out on my porch while the apartment’s landscaping crew maintains the grass. Work on, workers! lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 11, 2009 Nice hazy yellow orange with a quick white head leaves a ring. Aroma is really malty, light grassy hoppiness. Nice sweet malt taste, some lemony citrus and grassy hop finish. Underrated I would think. OD40oz (602), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Pours golden with a disappearing white head. Had somewhat of a belgian white smell. Crisp taste with a clean, crisp finish. This seemed like it would be a good hot summer day drinking beer. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Clear golden, thin head, I have to say being another american lager it usally doesn’t have much going on, and that is true, but this actually and some hops and roasted malt to it, and I liked it.
