Tommyknocker Bitter Brewer

Taster at the brewpub: rich amber color with piney, citrus aroma. It’s got nice aspirin like bitters with substantial maltiness.

Draught at brewery. Pours hazy light orange with a small frothy white head, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, straw, meal, toasted), heavy hops (grass, grapefruit), light yeast (sweat). Light bodied, alcoholic texture, average carbonation and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and heavy bitterness. This beer kept getting better after the first taste. Nothing was over the top; it was a very refreshing brew.
