It pours a dark, hazy red; almost brown color with little head. The smell is of prunes and alcohol. Upon tasting, its got an alcoholy kick with some dark fruityness and subtle malt. I’m not sure I would buy this again. Ethereal (1500), London, Greater London, England

Smooth and full bodied, this is a bit like a barley wine but not as heavy or cloying. A good strong beer. KimJohansen (7125), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Adequately balanced taste of caramel, chocolate and malts. A bit of a hot edge. Palate leaves something to be desired. A bit molassesy. markwise (1187), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 29, 2008 It pours a deep reddish brown with a head that was too embarrassed to show its face. There was an aroma of biscuit (almost potatoe) with some spice. It tastes sweet with notes of candy sugar, some malt, and a bit of a bad lager aftertaste. Very mixed-up finish; unbalanced and kind of sour.

Smells of biscuit and apples. Sweet bready malts are overshadowed by sourness and a sharp alcohol flavor. Lingering alcohol flavor. This stuff is pretty bad. obxdude10 (1561), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 15, 2008 There was virturally no head on this whatsoever, and left a minimal amount of lacing. This beer poured a brown color and featured a sweet and malty nose with hints of caramel and bread. The flavors were deep and strong with notes of bread, sweet malt and toffee. The finish and aftertaste was very sweet and malty. I can’t say this is one of the better bock beers I’ve tasted, but it isn’t the worst. It isn’t something to write home about, that’s for sure. Pretty average.
