| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a rich amber/brown color with a white head that lacks retention and lacing. Aroma is a bit boozy at first and then gives way to slight hints of dark fruit and sweet malt. Very nice, not what I was expecting at all. Flavor has a nice blend of chocolaty notes and the dark fruit from the nose. Very smooth and balanced. It has a very nice full mouthfeel as well. This, so far, has been the best Tommyknocker beer I have had. mixinnixon2000 (227), Chicago, Illinois, USA
