Tasting at CBF. Hazy light yellow, no head. Aroma of chiles and peppers, fairly pungent. Taste like hot chiles, pretty spicy. Off-putting - a little too over the top for a chile beer.

On tap at Tommyknocker poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of green chilies and light straw. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a warming finish. Flavors of green chilies and light straw with a crisp lingering warming finish.

(draft "Tommyknocker Chili Lager"at 2009 Colorado Brewers Rendezvous in Salida, CO). Clear yellow color. Medium white head. Fresh chili aroma (not like roasted chili). Light spicy chili flavor. Avg duration. Thin texture. Finish has a lasting spiciness. Moderate carbonation. Spare lacing.

070917-Tommyknocker Chile Lager-on tap-pours a foamy white head that laces and pale yellow color. Aroma is chile. Taste is mild chile, grain, faint hops. The Chile gives a bit of burn at the finish.

Tasted 9/30 GABF weekend. Idaho Springs, CO. Mild nose compared with Coppersmiths (Ft Collins). Once again, smelled like Jalapeno Krunchers. Slight citrus note. Good pepper flavor, which I eventually added a lime to mellow it out. I guess a good example, but definitely not my favorite style.

On tap @ Tommyknocker Brewery. Aroma is a strong whiff of chile and lemon. Appearance shows a lifeless yellow with little carbonation and little head. Flavor is a slight citrus bite followed by a rush of pepper that tapers gently. Palate is slick. Not bad at all. Quite enjoyable; not a sickening pepper flavor like Crazy Ed’s.
