Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

12 oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a dense 2 cm tan head that is slowly diminishing. Aroma of molasses, smoke, and... sounds weird but soy sauce. Initial flavor of maple and molasses. The nuttiness and smoke follows through to the end. Medium to heavy body, moderate lacing, light to no carbonation, and moderate alcohol presence. Overall, maple and nutty with good alcohol... nice.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy deep amber to hazzlenut brown with a small lacing tan head. Caramel and malty to molasses aroma. Maple syrup perhaps? Sweet mouthfeel. Sweet flavoured of syrup and caramel, light hoppy bitterness showing through. Breadish malt base flavour into a smooth sweet finish. Light fruity too.

bottle thanks to Mentor. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Nose is of molasses and caramel. Seemed like bourbon to me for some reason. Taste was also molasses and caramel with that sense of bourbon i must be imagining. Mouthfeel is medium and very sweet with alcohol noticeable.

Deep amber tone with a long lasting tan head. Sweet malty, maple aroma. Tastes of caramel and maple with a creamy mouth feel. 9.8% ABV really shows.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small beige head. Aromas are caramel and chocolate with spices. Smoky with strong alcohol. Flavours are bready and vinous with berries and raisins. Sweet with spiced oranges and hints of metal. Warming and quite sticky on the palate. Good.

Bottle. Brown ale with a lightly malty aroma and a sweet and sherry like flavour. Overall a nice malty and sweet sherry tasting beer. It doesn’t taste as strong as the abv.

Pours a reddish borwn (mahogany) color with a light brown head. Nose is brown sugar, molasses, roasted malt, chocolate. Smells really nice and sweet like a dessert. Taste is about the same but the sweetness makes this beer like liquid candy. I really like this ASA style with a roasted malt backbone because I think it rounds of the hops nicely. However the sugar levels may be over done in this beer. The mouthfeel is like syrup and the finish lasts a fairly long time. Nuts are absent.
