Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: Medium deep brown , crystal shade, small creamy tanned top.
Nose :Fresh grassy-citric hops pop up front , sweet malts and fair dosage of smooth alcohol 7+.
Flavor/Palate : Full bodied , clean brew. Light roasted malts , smooth with quality malt presented. Alcohol is definitively present but it is fairly polite to rest. Beyond you will find gentle nuttiness . Big yet fairly gentle clean ale.14+/20

12oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor of maple syrup and caramel. Alcohol is decently hidden considering it’s 9.8%.

Brown with a thin tan head. Sweet boozy malt smell. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Sweet malt and maple syrup flavor with a bitter burnt malt/alcohol taste to finish, thats it. 101606

This is a bold brew overall and can be descibed as plain decent. Very drinkable, however, doesn’t have much character or any distinguishing notes. Alcohol is blended well and has a rich roast and syrup palate.

Aroma is a sour scent with mild roasted tones in the back. Color is a near black amber with low carbonation and almost no head, just a ring of tiny bubbles around the edge. Taste is sweet and thick. Starting with a full body it goes down with a heavy feel. Finish is a big rich sweet bite that is backed by a sudden bitterness. In the after taste a roasted flavor comes out for just a moment. Its just seems a bit unbalanced, the sweet bites to much, the bitter is it quick to make up for it and then the only sign of roasted malt comes in late and to briefly. Its not bad but not a brew I will get again.

Pours a reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma has a sweetness accompanied by a slight chocolate note. Has a nice malty flavor with a touch of the maple and some notes of chocolate.
