Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Poured from a bottle into a standard shaker pint. Appearance was a hazy, dark brown. Malty smell with alcohol coming through on the nose. The maple syrup really comes through in the taste, along with some chocolate and a nutty flavor. A nice strong alcohol burn at the finish.

Bottle. Heavy malt note molasses, moderate resin for the hops, light sweat and leather for the yeast, with hints of tar, maple syrup and solvent. Head is small, creamy but thins to wispy, off-white, has fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color starts murky but settles to almost clear, dark browm with a faint red tint, with a thin amount of tiny particles. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately bittersweet. Palate is medium to full, oily, and has a soft carbonation. This American Strong leans toward the maltier side of good balance. The tastes are bold, but they are not entirely desireable.

Brewed in the USA..... 4th of July bash. Pours brown in color with zero head. Aroma of caramel, maple syrup and roasted malts. Taste is much of the same !! Mouthfeel is watery, doughy and the finish is not bigger, bolder, just utterly boring. Avoid this Tommyknocker.... :(
