Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Poured into my Orval glass. Poured dark brown with the makings of head, but it never really formed. Nutty, maple, dark sugar aromas. The flavors come off roasty-toasty, Aunt Jemima, chocolate, and toffee. Slight bitterness. I wish more brown ales had a mouthfeel like this one. Feels like more that water. Pretty nice. Thanks to BeerandBlues2 for this one.

Thanks to weeare138 for the trade. Pours a darker hazy brown with some red and a small bubbly tan head that left some lacing. Aroma of maple syrup, hazelnut, dark fruits, molasses, vanilla, caramel and a bit of cardboard. Flavor of maple syrup, chocolate, nut, light alcohol and a slight sourness.

creamy light tan head on top of a dark brown beer. chocolate, brown sugar, light hop aroma. full bodied and sweet. maple syrup is apparent in the flavor and texture. bitter wine-like aftertaste. alcohol is up front. something just isn’t working out.

(22oz. bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of maple syrup and toasted malt. Toasted malt base with hints of dustiness and light sourness. Alcohol is well hidden.

Pour is a cola brown with a brown head. Aroma is quite nice. Very sweet and creamy with some fresh hops and toasted malts coming through. Flavor is very sweet with hints of caramel and dark chocolate with some maple brown sugar flavor in there. Finish is very sweet and a little alcohol burn at the end. Very nice and different but you could only drink one of these in a sitting as the sweetness is there in a big way.

22 oz bottle. Nice brown color, the smell is very nutty, as is the initial taste. Pretty good stuff. Somewhat watery finish, which is mildly dissapointing, given the color and texture. A good beer.

Bottle. Dark brown with a film of bubbles. Nose0nutty, musty. Taste-woody, high brown ale, spice, sawdust. Taste like a normal brown ale with some must and spice, and roast.

bomber picked up at a local store. up front this had a decent aroma and taste, but on the finish it seemed too sweet and lacked any lingering flavor. rich brown in color with a small tan head after a vigorous pour. aroma was of caramel, molasses and some brown sugar. flavor was more of the same with some dark chocolate and alcohol.
