Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Dark brown with a big fluffy tan head that lasted a while. Aroma is nutty and syrupy sweet. Flavor is nutty and bittersweet chocolate up front then blends in a spicy sourness at the back. Smooth and medium bodied on the palate with a slightly astringent finish. A bit different from the usual brown but good.

22oz bottle via trade with Brock_Landers! - Thanks! - Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head that stays pretty well and laces some. Aroma is nuts, brown sugar and maple syrup. Flavor is sweet and nutty at first, caramel, maple syrup and a touch of sourness on the back of each sip. Medium bodied and pretty creamy on the palate. Pretty straight forward and not much imperial about this except maybe the 9.8% alcohol, but it is a pretty fair brown ale.

Very dark brown color with a nice creamy tan mocha head. The aroma is a little alcoholic with some Some maple sweetness. The flavor highlights a bit more of the maple sweetness and some nuttyness. This isn’t the best stuff, but its good.

Thanks Tom and Nancy(mamabeer). This beer offers a nutty yeasty aroma that has sour hints hidden in the background. It is a light brown liquid with a good tan head and good lacing. This medium bodied beer has a nutty taste that fades a tad sour. It tends to dry the mouth and throat out a little bit.

Bottle shared by Kevin. Hazy dark brown body. Sweet toffee and chocolate aroma - nice. The flavor has a simple maple, nut, chocolate and caramel sweetness with a spicy alcohol kick at the end. Lasting creamy caramel. OK beer, I don’t like the strong alcohol with this moderate sweetness.

Thanks Kevin! The beer pours to a hazy brown body with a thin tan head. The aroma is a roasted strawberries and maple syrup. The flavor is full of peanuts, walnuts, maple syrup. The palate is medium bodied and has lots of lingering dry nuttiness.

Has a nice roasty, maple syrup aroma to it. Decent dark color with a tan head. Strong alcohol flavor that’s slightly improved by a sweet maple syrup flavor. Thick body with decent carbonation. Overall, it’s OK, but I don’t think I would try this again.
