Commercial Description:
Tommyknockers were mischievous elves who slipped into mining camps with the Cornish miners in the 1800s. Commemorating the 10th anniversary of Tommyknocker Brewery, this special brew is meticulously crafted with pure maple syrup, the highest quality chocolate and crystal malts and is accented with the finest blend of European and American hops. Imperial Nut Brown Ale is a bigger, bolder version of our wildly popular Maple Nut Brown.

Alcohol was well hidden, but that was about the only memorable thing about it. Very sweet, but no flavors that jump out. Just blah.

Pours a dark mahogany with a fast disappearing tan head. Nutty, caramel, maple aroma. Tastes a much stronger version of its little brother, Maple Nut Brown ale. Definitely picked up the alcohol taste more so in this version. Still pretty tasty but would not drink more than about 1 or 2 of these in one sitting due to the sweetness and the alcohol.

12oz I put in my parents basement a ways back. Found it and its a little bottle so Ill rate it. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is fairly muted and malty. Taste is sweet and but nasty and yucky. how does this have an overall 73%? i have no idea.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, GregClow, and Garthicus, courtesy of Harry - who mentioned he had this bottle for a while. Mild malt aroma. Dark brown small white head. Huge alcohol taste, lots of nutty malt. Probably a little musty with the age but that alcohol sure did not fade. Pretty decent.

Dark brown pour with reddish highlights and a thin ring of light tan head. Aroma is sugary sweet cocoa, and a twinge of alcohol. Flavor is very similar to their cocoa porter, but with a much higher abv. Almost boozy. Very nutty flavor as it warms. I’d drink it again.
