Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

35.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a quickly gone head. Soapy lemon aroma with a mild wheat aroma beneath. Flavour is quite lemonish and soft wheaty. Ends slight citric. Seems thin.

Not a very exciting beer. Just a slight taste of lemon with a predominate bread-like feel.

Cloudy golden color, medium foaming head, leaving minimal lacing in the glass. Aroma typical of American wheat, with notes of lemon zest and grainy wheat. Flavor dominated by wheat and citrus, with a moderate unintegrated bitterness at the finish. Left a long grainy bitterness on the palate.

Bottle. Very clear honey body with a thin foam of bubbles. Nose-kinda sickly and dirty. Notes of vomit sawdust, pot roast, and meat come out. Taste-better than the nose. Medium wheat, light blueberry, light sweet hops, seltzer, fruity esters in the background. Good smelling for a pot roast, better tasting. A slightly above average American Wheat.

A deep hazy amber color with a thn head. Had a deep malty flavor with the wheat coming through. This was a refreshing and had lots of citrus notes in the aroma and flavor. This was a very nice beer to drink.

Strong citrus smell from the lemongrass. Tates a little like a radler, the lemon is very pronounced. Finish has some yeasty/bready notes. Very refreshing beer for a hot day.

no head at all, which isn’t necessarily bad. great smell, if you can dig the fruity/sweet thing. it smells good, but kinda of like a nice lit candle in a bathroom you or someone just took a gnarly dump in. in the taste, i detected a hint of apricot(must be the lemon grass, i guess), which was both refreshing and tasty, complimenting itself as a great summer beer. however, i don’t know how many i would be able to drink in one sitting. not too sweet, not too bitter.
