twindadplus2 (408), Wisconsin, USA Jan 20, 2007 Hazy, brownish gold color with a big head that faded very fast. Very light wheat and lemon aroma. Taste is lemon and wheat but with a strange perfumey, vegetal taste in the back that pretty much kills it for me. With such a weak hops character and low carbonation this beer just seems bland and watery. This is probably my least favorite wheat so far. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Jan 11, 2007 12 oz bottle via Arctic Liquors Beer of The Month Club. Pours a hazy gold with an average size white head. Nose is lemon and butterscotch. Taste start with some lemongrass and wheat, a bit of vanilla, then some butter, and ends tart. High carbonation. Light body. Pretty easy to drink and the lemongrass makes it unique and definately worth a try. DrnkMcDermott (1831), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Jan 10, 2007 12 oz. Bottle Another bottle a month or two past its Best By date. But let’s see. Clear gold color under a thin head, small trickles of bubbles. Light wheat smell. Taste is light and lemony, but I also get a mouth full of perfume. I find this a big distraction. Layer of yeast at bottom of bottle. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Dec 31, 2006 12 oz bottle. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Liht orange and lemon nose. Lemon grass flavor. Bo-ring. ratman197 (3139), Arvada, Colorado, USA Dec 31, 2006 Bottle poured a lightly hazy gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of citrus and dough. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, lemon and dough with a crisp refreshing finish. tronraner (1906), Maryville, Tennessee, USA Dec 17, 2006 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with small white head. The aroma is sugar, wheat, and hay. The flavor is clean hops at first, but then comes a strange carrot and grass vegetal tone. The finish is sweet like aspertame. Not good. Avoid. mtdshn (174), Moline, Illinois, USA Dec 15, 2006 Bottle. Pours a good, golden yellow with a minimal head. Aromas of rubbing alcohol and tea. The lemongrass was the reason for me buying it, but it’s too weak in the mix and made what could have been a great wheat beer a really bland pilsner. Strykzone (1459), Wood River, Illinois, USA Nov 13, 2006 Label is over the top, just wild! Cloudy appearance as advertised. The flavor is surprisingly dry and crisp. There are plenty of classical wheat tastes. Lemon and coriander can be detected. The beer is surprisingly carbonated. I like this style and this was pretty good, but not one of the top brews.
