HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Nov 8, 2006 In an odd way I liked this beer, not a world class thing going on here. The lemon grass did add a nice zip to a boring style. Holdwine (904), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Nov 5, 2006 About as average as you can get. Nice citrus notes and an abundance of lemon. Soda pop feel. Watery. Not much going on. Aggie80 (708), Michigan, USA Nov 4, 2006 Nice wheat haze and golden color with a good head. But the lemon grassgave the whole thing a nasty furnature polish finish that just didn’t work for me. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Nov 1, 2006 Pours a sandy, golden brown with considerable haze... near opaque. A whitish head fades fast. Weak aroma with kind of a "banana ice cream" feel to it. Roasted corn nuts late. Tart flavor atop a base of grains. A bit thin and overcarbonated. MIld sweetness in the finish, but sourness is louder. Not bad, but probably the weakest of the Motherlode.

jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 29, 2006 on tap-pours a white head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is sweet, wheat. Taste is sweet, wheat, background citrus. OK carbonation. nimbleprop (819), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA Oct 24, 2006 Poured a murky light orange from the bottle with very little white head. Smells of malt and wheat with very little hop to speak of. Slightly citrus, slightly malty flavor, but forgettable taste. Refreshing beer though, better than I expected but simple and light flavor. yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2006 Looks OK. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Not much aroma, a bit musty, wheaty, and a hint of diesel fuel. Flavor is watery American Wheat, smooth and drinkable, but it has an artificial taste similar to that in the dopplebock they brew, only less intense. Lemongrass on the finish. Overall its not as bad as I was expecting but never rises above mediocre. The label is more of the stupidity that you would expect from a brewery that calls itself “Tommyknocker”. I’m glad I only bought a single instead of a six pack. Suttree (2701), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Oct 8, 2006 Clooudy yellow, thin but dense white head. Very faint aroma - banana, bubblegum, etc - the usual suspects. Some notes of sourdough and a touch of banana in the flavor. Crisp finish.
