argo0 (6842), Washington DC, USA Dec 16, 2005 (bottle) Cloudy golden body with white head. Aroma is medium sweet, melon, light honey. Taste is medium sweet, honey, melon. Light-medium body. Yard (45), Senoia, Georgia, USA Dec 12, 2005 This is a good brew company, but all of their beers as well as this one is light compared to the style. To suttle. Good flavor but just not enough shrubber85 (2832), Wallhalben, Germany Dec 3, 2005 Bottle. Primarily lemon grass aroma - light hint of wheat malt. Cloudy amber with small head. Light wheat malt flavor initially that’s quickly overwhelmed by the lemon grass flavor -watery. Probably could get the same flavor by adding lemon grass to any light beer. No bad tastes to this beer - just not a lot there. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Nov 28, 2005 This beer pours gold with a slight chill haze that fades as it warms up. The aroma is apparently devoid of all hop aroma. Slight maltiness, vague fruitiness (almost like the dried rasberry aroma from the raspberry black tea my wife drinks.) Not bad, but infinitely forgettable. MrRain (415), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Nov 14, 2005 This beer poured a sickly cloudy orange with visible beer pulp. It had a quickly dissipitating head. The taste isn’t bad but not really wheaty. It’s rather hard to define. It’s rather bland and quite forgetable. The purported lemon flavor doesn’t show through until the aftertaste. The whole beer is saved at the last minute by the lemon after-taste. hopdog (5525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 14, 2005 12oz bottle acquired in trade with kp (thanks!). Bottle labeled best within 4 months of August ’05. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averated sized white head. Aromas of wheat and citrus - both on the weak side. Tastes of the same and weak like the aroma. Overall a boring beer. whiterabbit81 (243), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Nov 7, 2005 Ehh....not bad persay, but quite mediocre. Pours a light copper brown with a small white, bubbly head. Smells moderately yeasty, in my mind much like a brewpub beer. Are we sure that this is actually a wheat ale? It doesn’t taste much like other wheats I’ve had. Anyways the taste is moderately watery, but has a sorta astringent flavor. While i do taste the advertised lemongrass, this is unfortunantly the only real flavor in the beer, and it’s very mild at that. It’s a shame too, the bottle looked so promising.... DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Nov 2, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with goldtwins, thanks Larry!) "Enjoy" by 15-Dec-05. Enjoy? Ha, that’s a good one! This beer is yet another boring entry into a boring beer category. Lemony citrus, a bit of light fruit, a touch of sweetness, and barely any wheat malt flavor, this is entirely forgettable. Light citrus in the nose, plus some stinkiness, but this is far from what I’d consider aromatic. Light bodied with decent carbonation levels. The beer is a dull, dark golden color and is fully cloudy, and the whitish head barely rises to a quarter inch before relenting and fading down to a broken film. A few spots of lace try to stick to the glass, but end up dissipating too. Maybe the mule is kicking the Jack Whacker because it is tired of being whipped, but I think it’s more likely the mule’s rebelling for the ingnominity of having to carry the ingredients for this below average beer.
