Pours a light copper brown with a small white, bubbly head. Smells moderately yeasty, in my mind much like a brewpub beer. Are we sure that this is actually a wheat ale? It doesn’t taste much like other wheats I’ve had. Anyways the taste is moderately watery, but has a sorta astringent flavor. While i do taste the advertised lemongrass, this is unfortunantly the only real flavor in the beer, and it’s very mild at that. It’s a shame too, the bottle looked so promising.... | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 2, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with goldtwins, thanks Larry!) "Enjoy" by 15-Dec-05. Enjoy? Ha, that’s a good one! This beer is yet another boring entry into a boring beer category. Lemony citrus, a bit of light fruit, a touch of sweetness, and barely any wheat malt flavor, this is entirely forgettable. Light citrus in the nose, plus some stinkiness, but this is far from what I’d consider aromatic. Light bodied with decent carbonation levels. The beer is a dull, dark golden color and is fully cloudy, and the whitish head barely rises to a quarter inch before relenting and fading down to a broken film. A few spots of lace try to stick to the glass, but end up dissipating too. Maybe the mule is kicking the Jack Whacker because it is tired of being whipped, but I think it’s more likely the mule’s rebelling for the ingnominity of having to carry the ingredients for this below average beer. summer hummer - reminds me of a beer, voldka, lemonaid drink i’ve had, minus the vodka. slang (397), Columbia, South Carolina, USA

This one looks bad, orange. Theres almost no aroma, maybe cookies? The taste is all lemon-grass with a little wheat. Are there any hops here? I understand being unfiltered, but WTF are these little black grains in my glass? Black? Fuk Tommyknocker! antisnobJP (275), St. Michael, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Bottle. Slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Kind of a grassy lemony aroma, not much aroma at all. Clean dry lemony flavored beer, slightly sour with a quick clean finish. Devoid of any yeast or hop character. Probably a great hot weather thirst quencher, not much else going on. Could see the potential to drink too much too fast. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Draft, Great Decatur Beerfest. Cloudy yellow pour. Citrus, lemon, and spiced aroma, kinda subdued (maybe that was my tasting glass after 7 other Tommyknockers). Yeasty clovy and lemony. Average wheat beer to me.
