Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

(12oz. bottle, courtesy of travita) Pours a clear golden body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, and light citrus. Flavor of caramel malt, wheat, and mild hops (citrus).

Pours a cloudy golden color. Aroma of lemon, grasses, and wheat. A little light on the flavor - not nearly as much flavor as some other wheat beers I typically enjoy. Not much of a finish either - rather weak. I’ll drink it if I get a couple in the Trail Mix pack that Tommyknocker puts out but will not go out of my way to buy a full sixer of this one.

12 oz bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008, 4.7 %. Slightly hazy golden color. Grassy and grainy aroma with watermelon, sea air and glue, the arma is slightly off. Sweetish, grainy, honeyish, bready and somewhat fruity flavor with orange marmelade, mango and apricot. No hops. Glue like off flavor.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow-gold color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was sweetish, peppery and lightly yeasty. The flavor was sweettart candies with with touches of artificial citrus and yeastiness. Decent body. Ok.

2 oz tasting, and that was plenty. Yellow pour, white head. aroma is yeasty, citrus and boring. Flavor is even worse than the aroma. Weak, watery and grainy. blah.

Poured a somewhat cloudy weak yellow color with a white head. aroma was very bland but had hints of some spices and the general wheaty smell. Flavor was much better than aroma, although a bit watery, very nicely balanced, not off flavors and even some nice spice hints come through.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden body with a 2 finger white head. Lemon, citrus, from the wheat dusty, some light spices. Overall pretty lame for the style.

Actually better than I expected. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium to large sized foamy white head. Nose is a bit of spice, wheat, and honey. Taste is about the same. Nothing offensive here and pretty well balanced. Underrated IMO.
