Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

Nice aroma, rather attractive and inviting. Fragrance of yeast with body. Hypnotizing swirling pour inside a pale yellow brew. Varying carbonation; at times its creamy, other times you can barely tell there is any there. Wheatish taste but I don’t care for that slight ale attribute. Mild and friendly for the most part. Not much bitterness on the finish. Some very slight hints of lemon on the sides of the tongue.

Bottle: Slightly hazy gold in color with a white head. Aroma, wheat and some pale malts maybe, not much else. Flavor, lemon, wheat, some light citrus, a tart kick towards the end, finishes very lemony. Not that good.

Slightly light golden color with a fairly thin head atop. Smell is light, nice wheatiness along with some tart lemony note. Taste is also a touch tart, with a sweet honey wheat like kick to it as well. I tend to like american wheats although they’re not generally a highly rated snobby beer, and I’d say this one was above average. I thought it was quite good, while slightly unique, for the style and would get it again.

Cloudy straw color with wisp's of yeast suspended through out the brew.Small white head not very impressive.Sweet aroma definately Lemon grass.nearly no hop smell at all.You have to smell pretty hard to detect them if hard smelling is possible.Sweet taste, lemony with a slightly acidic taste as well.I like lemon grass but this is a bit much just a little over the top for me.It needs to be tamed with less lemon G.and a few more hop's it might just make it a better brew.

"Interesting beer. Pours a hazey bright golden colour with a full creamy top. Aroma is pleasent with noticeable lemongrass right away. Some yeasty esters. wheat and banannas on the nose. Taste is pleasent with some soft spices, firm citrus notes and just a hint of bitter hops in the finish. Great for a hot day!

Golden almost clear with a thick head. Weak wheat smell that is not appealing. Lack of taste there is some wheat there but not much else. It is slightly crisp and refreshful though.

Pours deep hazy brown, no head. Aroma, of wheat, lemongrass and yeast. Hints of malt. Flavor, malty presence, lemongrass, medium carbonation, sweet wheat palate, some hints of yeast. Wheat / malt more forward followed by lemon finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with small white head. The aroma is sugar, wheat, and hay. The flavor is clean hops at first, but then comes a strange carrot and grass vegetal tone. The finish is sweet like aspertame. Not good. Avoid.
