Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

Crushed with Jakebra. A surprisingly nice wheat ale. Good, honey and wheat nose. Flavor is not cloying at all and incredibly smooth. Maybe cuz I’m a little drunk, but this is a pretty damn good wheat ale.

From a bottle poured a light straw color with a good amount of head. Light refreshing flavor with not much flavor or finish.

12 oz bottle via Arctic Liquors Beer of The Month Club. Pours a hazy gold with an average size white head. Nose is lemon and butterscotch. Taste start with some lemongrass and wheat, a bit of vanilla, then some butter, and ends tart. High carbonation. Light body. Pretty easy to drink and the lemongrass makes it unique and definately worth a try.

Bottle via trade. Pours very hazy light golden color with almost no head. The aroma is a weak citrus with the slightest hint of malt. There is very little flavor. There is the slightest hint of grains along with light citrus notes. Tends toward the lemony side. Watery mouthfeel. This is a one time tasting.

Too much lemongrass, which lended a sour/bitter flavor to the beer. These Tommyknockers aren’t very good.

Another loser from the mixed pack. Poor example of a wheat beer. Lack of flavor, character, and body. This might be the worst in the bunch

Cloudy yellow thin head, pretty basic american wheat, lemon, and slight spiciness to it, but it was very smooth, and very refreshing, not complex but I liked it.

Apple and maple syrup aroma, but not strong. Cloudy golden color witha non existent head, but marvelous carbonation. Tart, somewhat yeasty.and apple is detectable. Grass and raisin finish. Great mouthfeel, good taste.
