Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

Bottle. The smell reminds me of a light pilsner with artificial lemon added in. The flavor is slightly bland. Not a perfectly crisp beer, but smooth and somewhat spring-like about the flavor. Leaves a light coating on the tongue. Has a tart and strange (almost lemony) finish. I would try it again

Location: 12 oz Bottle, can’t remember where I got it...

Aroma/Flavor: Lemony/citrus
Overall Impression: Decent, unspectacular wheat beer

Pours a cloudy straw color with next to no head. Aroma of wheat, yeast and some lemon. Some carbonation. Taste of wheat, lemon with a touch of yeast.

Cloudy orange with a spare, large bead, white head. Aromas of wheat, grass, and almond. Very little hop presence on the tongue, no yeast accents, either. Very dry on the finish. Too little fruit and not enough character in the malt to allow me to recommend this one.

A slightly cloudy light golden beer, with very little foam. The aroma smells strongly of sugar and lemon/lime. There’s basically no lacing on the glass. The flavor is very grassy and pert. Kinda reminds me of some kind of cleaner.

Wierd, lemony aroma and flavor that tastes ok, but comes across as a gimmick. I want malt and hops, not lemongrrass. Probably would go great with Thai food.

I did like the lemon grass aspect of it, otherwise another boring brew from Tommyknocker.
