Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

About as average as you can get. Nice citrus notes and an abundance of lemon. Soda pop feel. Watery. Not much going on.

Pours with a very hazy yellow color and a small tight head, with just a bit of lace. The aroma is a little spicy and grainy. The flavor is a tad sweet with flavors of honey and some lemony citrus.. kind of boring.

Pours cloudy golden straw with a thin ring head that follows all the way down the glass, leaving light soap lace. Very light nose on this one.... sweet wheat predominates. Wheat and yeast, again lightly noted, produce some small citrus and wheat bread flavors. This seems pretty well-integrated, honestly, but very underdone. Sweet wheat transfers into the finish, but with semi-lively carbonation levels and a thinner mouthfeel, this feels rather bland for the style... and certainly nothing to write home about.

In an odd way I liked this beer, not a world class thing going on here. The lemon grass did add a nice zip to a boring style.

Light gold, with a medium white head that fades to a thin film. Fruity wheat aroma. Medium body and a very fruity flavor that carries through like a fruit punch. Clean finish that, fortunately, leaves little of the fruit left in the mouth.

Cloudy yellow with a white head that dissapates quickly. Aroma is lemon, spice, and grain. Good malt for the style. Flavor is reminiscent of fruit loops and lemon. Sweet with no noticable hops.

Very pale gold body. Light amount of white head. A soapy hop aroma, not that enjoyable. Very thin taste, sweet hops are integrated with the wheat. Maybe some pear is evident in this. Carbonation is very evident in the ending.
