Very thin taste, sweet hops are integrated with the wheat. Maybe some pear is evident in this. Carbonation is very evident in the ending. krisbierjaeger (844), dolores, Colorado, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 21, 2002 not much more head than a lemonade, which describes the aroma as well: lemonade made with the peels rather than the juice. pale pear color. the trouble with lemon as a fragrance is that it’s a smell co-opted by so many cheap dish soaps. i run little risk of scurvey, so i don’t do lemon in my beer, thanks. on a snowy blustery march night, this summer quencher is as out of place as mahatma ghandi at a gun show. still, come summer i won’t be looking for it: it’s got a nasty lemon aftertaste like nyquil or something. cloudy beverage with a weak tea flavor. nasty. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 1/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2007 Poured to a clear golden orange, not hazy like I expected, with virutally no head or lacing. Aroma was very slight, though I picked out a slight citrusy fruit smell. Unfortunately, no spice or dough smell. Flavor was pleasant, again with hints of fruit. Mouthfeel was fairly flat, and finish just so-so.
Not a bad drinking beer, just not much of a wheat beer. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 3, 2008 This beer pours gold with a slight chill haze that fades as it warms up. The aroma is apparently devoid of all hop aroma. Slight maltiness, vague fruitiness (almost like the dried rasberry aroma from the raspberry black tea my wife drinks.) Not bad, but infinitely forgettable Cybercat (819), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 23, 2007 A nice wheat beer with whispers of citrus thanks to the addition of lemon grass. Color is cloudy amber, so you know it hasn’t been filtered. Aroma has a hint of lemon, as does the taste, which is typical of a wheat beer. Pleasant and uncomplex, it has just a little bit of a hoppy bite. drjay44 (818), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Wheat beers are supposed to be light with some variable citrus, mild spice, and a gifft of refreshment on a warm to hot day. This was too light even for the style and had none of the other attributes. Have they changed the recipe since 2000? WabashMan (817), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 27, 2003 Really not a lot of character to this wheat. Some lemon flavor with the wheat, initially, but it seems to fade. A decent appearance is the best this beer offers. joshwilfong (797), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
