Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

Beautiful pour. Man, this beer smells like candy or something. Bla, the hops are the only flavor which somewhat saves the taste of this beer!

12 oz bottle- poured a transparent weak orange color, aroma of wheat and fruit. Solid fruit taste with weak body, finish tales off, no bitterness or hops. Kind of ho-hmm.

Bottle at J’s Bistro. Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is citrus and lemon. The taste is very grassy and tart. Not too much going on with this wheat ale from Tommyknocker.

Pours a murky honey gold with a creamy, 2 finger, white head that has good retention. Aroma is wheat, fruity notes, buttery toffee, banana taffey and some planty hops. Flavor is wheat, waffle cone, banana, light citrus, buttery toffee and some light floral notes. Finish is pretty tame just some mild bread and fruit notes along with some spice. Palate is light bodied with a neutral entry leading to a slightly dry, chalky finish. This is an odd, somewhat interesting wheat ale that just doesn’t pay off in the end, but is still pretty inoffensive.

(bottle). Pours a yellow color. Medium to large size head, which is white in color. Aromas of grass and wheat. Taste of wheat and lemongrass. Smooth finish which is somewhat watery, with a lasting wheat taste. Medium carbonation.

Nice wheat haze and golden color with a good head. But the lemon grassgave the whole thing a nasty furnature polish finish that just didn’t work for me.
