But the lemon grassgave the whole thing a nasty furnature polish finish that just didn’t work for me. demitriustown (701), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 21, 2007 Bottle A fruity wheat and hop aroma, lemon, and a very acidic scent. Appearance is a clear golden pour with a medium sized white head that dissipates quickly. It’s got some really good lacing in this beer. Very carbonated. Taste is really uneven and somewhat harsh, definate wheat notes, but it’s seems really grainy. It’s kind of like seltzer water in my mouth with all that carbonation. Palate is decent, a lightly bitter and somewhat corny aftertaste. Overall, There a 10 times better Wheat’s out there. Booooo! wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 15, 2004 Tasted in Toronto. Brought back from a recent trip to Colorado. Obtained in a beer store in Dillon Co just outside of Keystone. Pours cloudy, light / neon yellow with initial head but then dissolves completely. Very yeasty aroma with a hint of grain and lemon. Flavour is very pleasant, with a hint of spice (clover or nutmeg) and a lemony finish. ROGUE (676), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with large white frothy head that has decent retention and very nice lacing. Aroma is slightly floral and citrus.
Sweet wheat and barley malts up front with a zing citrus flavors that finishes with bittering hops. Needs a little more.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Feb 27, 2006 Pours gold with a two-finger head and aggressive effervescence. Surprisingly fruity aroma dominated by lemon. Wheat and a light nuttiness play roles, too, along with sweet, honey-like hops. As it warms, the wheat becomes the main aroma. Tastes bad, like lemon dish detergent. Very dry finish that turns to stale wheat a few seconds after the swallow. Very spritzy. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 18, 2005 Draft, Great Decatur Beerfest. Cloudy yellow pour. Citrus, lemon, and spiced aroma, kinda subdued (maybe that was my tasting glass after 7 other Tommyknockers). Yeasty clovy and lemony. Average wheat beer to me. yayforbeer (648), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Looks OK. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Not much aroma, a bit musty, wheaty, and a hint of diesel fuel. Flavor is watery American Wheat, smooth and drinkable, but it has an artificial taste similar to that in the dopplebock they brew, only less intense. Lemongrass on the finish. Overall its not as bad as I was expecting but never rises above mediocre. The label is more of the stupidity that you would expect from a brewery that calls itself “Tommyknocker”. I’m glad I only bought a single instead of a six pack. gsmitty80 (646), Washington DC, USA
