Unfortunately, the taste is way too acidic, sour lemon burning the back of the throat. Nasty. You’d think an American brewer would have better sense than to name a beer "Jack Whacker," especially when it tastes like this.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Bottle (12oz). Very bubbly, slightly hazy gold, small fizzy beige head. Fresh malty and weirdly spruce-y aroma, light fruit and yeast. The taste is mostly grapeseed and pine/spruce, fresh and sharp - watery body, incredibly well carbonated, lightly astringent, odd sharp aftertaste, vaguely reminiscent of Pinesol floor cleaner, but not horrid - I think this must be the lemon grass - if that’s lemon grass, this sucker’s loaded with it! Godd hot weather brew. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 20, 2003 This brew pours a large head of fine and medium sized white bubbles with a cloudy straw yellow body. It has a mild bread-fruit aroma with a slight initial tingle then its fruit flavor and the lemon come on. Acceptable, but somehow I just don't care that ,much for the lemon flavoring.
