Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

Light bodied, mild citrus in the nose and the flavor. Easy drinkin’ with a somewhat bitter finish. Good summer brew.

Rerate Neutral aroma, cloudy medium orange appearance. tight white head. Muted fruitiness, slight spiciness. Decently thick mouthfeel. Original 3.0 Market Square Liquors, Tallahassee, Fl. 12 oz bottle. Pleasant murky light orange pour with a thick enough clumpy white head. Sweet aroma with hints of bubble gum, lemon and mint - quite pleasant. Flavor is a bit clumsy, not sure where it is going - some lemon, a hint of cake mix, Christmas spices and grass. Altogether, a decent combination. Mouthfeel is thick enough - slight spritziness. Overall, decent.

Nice golden coloured body with a hazy orange glow and a strong white head. Light aroma of yeast and wheat with a bit of coriander seed also coming through. Light to Medium-bodied; Nice wheatie flavour with some lemons, oranges and coriander seed very noticeable. Aftertaste is a bit more potent with some sweetness, curacao and a faint bit of hops. Overall, a decent wheat - nothing horrible, and good for a hot day! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 05-April-2008.

2/14/03: bottle. cloudy, yellow color. interesting smell which reminds me of green apples and cinnamon. this does not taste like a wheat beer to me at all. it has tastes of spice and apple- cinnamon. some water also. weird for a wheat beer, but the second best tommyknocker that i’ve had.

Really not a lot of character to this wheat. Some lemon flavor with the wheat, initially, but it seems to fade. A decent appearance is the best this beer offers.

Not bad for an american style wheat. The wheat flavor is appearant. Almost no hops. Malts taste is present with a slight citrus sensation to it. A thirst quencher

12 oz bottle. Another so-so beer. I like wheat beers but this one left a little to be desired. But unlike other Tommyknockers, literally only a little, other left far too much. The appearence is basic, the aroma is sweet, citric, floral, and sugary (not overly appitizing). The flavor is lots of cereal.

Not the best wheat beer. Only a hint of citrus, nice appearance. And yes, the list in order for tasting these was Leghumper, Long Leg, Jack Whacker. 0:)
