Commercial Description:
An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 2000 North American Brewers Asc. Gold Medal

Smooth cloudy golden color with a finger of tightly beaded white head. Bright aroma of lemon grass. Very wheaty, velvety mouthfeel. Orange and lemon finish. Seems unbalanced by any hop finish and the finish just disappears instantly

Bottle. Hazy deep gold pour. Wheat and lemon on the nose, but a pretty non-descript taste.

Location: 12 oz Bottle, can’t remember where I got it...

Aroma/Flavor: Lemony/citrus
Overall Impression: Decent, unspectacular wheat beer

Had this one a few months back at the AA meeting at summits. Rotten bananna color to it. I got a dusty light aroma, kinda had a fruity pebbles hint to it. Didnt have anything to speak of in the light body except for being light.

Murky yellow orange color out of the bottle with only a small white head. Thin citrus nose with a little sour to it. Some lemon citrus notes, some doughy yeast, and light grain. Actually very little flavor at all. Clean finish. Something a little funky in the background.

I am not a cosistent consumer of wheat-style brews to begin with, with the exception of the dunkel-style, so the overall impression of this TommyKnocker example is that of average as compared to other American wheats that I have sampled to this day. A bit watery at the start, and a light bark-like taste coupled with virtually no staying prescence on the palate.

About as average as you can get. Nice citrus notes and an abundance of lemon. Soda pop feel. Watery. Not much going on.
